Frequently asked questions
What kinds of products does Nexus Micro Labs sell?
Development boards, single-board computers, sensors, displays, connectivity modules, robotics and motor-control parts, power and prototyping essentials, tools and test equipment, kits, and general electronic components.
Do you only sell ESP32 products?
No. Nexus Micro Labs is platform-neutral — the catalog is organized to support multiple ecosystems (ESP32/ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, Arduino-compatible boards, RP2040/Pico, STM32, micro:bit, single-board computers, AI/edge hardware and more) as real inventory becomes available, not built around one controller family.
How do I know if a sensor or module is compatible with my board?
Check supply voltage, logic voltage, communication interface (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.), connector requirements and software/library support. See our Compatibility Help page for a full walkthrough.
What is the difference between a microcontroller and a single-board computer?
A microcontroller runs one program directly on the hardware with no operating system — fast startup, low power, precise timing. A single-board computer runs a full operating system and can handle multiple tasks at once, at the cost of higher power draw and slower startup. See our full comparison for details.
Do your project guides require a specific controller?
Most project guides are written to be platform-neutral, describing what a controller, sensor or display needs to do functionally rather than mandating one specific board. Where a project genuinely needs a particular platform, the guide says so directly.
Can I use the same sensor with different platforms?
Often, yes — many sensors are compatible with multiple platforms provided the voltage, logic level, interface and driver support line up. Compatibility is a property of the specific pairing, not a guarantee across every possible combination — see Compatibility Help.
Where can I find technical specifications?
Product pages include a specifications section with normalized technical values (voltage, interface, dimensions and similar) where they've been verified for that product.
How do I choose a development board?
Start with what you want to build, then work through programming experience, wireless needs, GPIO/analog requirements, power constraints and library support. See Choose the Right Development Board for the full guide.
Can I ask for help choosing parts for a project?
Yes — contact us with your project goal and as much technical detail as you have, and we'll do our best to help.
Can items in one order arrive separately?
Yes. Depending on how the items are fulfilled, an order may occasionally arrive in more than one shipment. Available shipment and tracking updates will be provided separately when applicable. See Shipping & Delivery for more.
